Ooh - my own portrait
Matthew, over at Turbo Art, is doing some cool stuff on request. I asked him if he'd be kind enough to do a portrait of A. Hen and here it is.
And here it is too:

Must say it does make me look a lot more kindly and domesticated than I really am. Perhaps Matthew hasn't yet discovered that I'm a Chicken with Attitude!
Thanks Matthew!
By the way, do you do werechickens? Granny wants to know if you'd be willing to do her portrait too.
ADDENDUM:
Matthew was kind enough to do a very fine and splendid portrait of Granny Were too!
Granny is totally delighted at her picture - and says she hopes that you will now know exactly what you might face at full moon!

He he! I sent my request in yesterday but it didn't work, so I did that extremely complicated manouvere of writing an e mail. These are fun aren't they?

Sorry Verilion, I'm still trying to make that request box a little more sturdy.
Thanks Atyllah :) What does a werechicken resemble? Sounds a little upsetting.

Marie, V these are huge fun - I'm delighted with my chickadee!
Matthew, consider a chicken with extra and long feathers, fangs and glowing red eyes, very long claws and a desire to rip the throats out of anything that peeves it. A werechicken is like a werewolf - only possibly more scary...
Granny goes were at full moon - for the rest of the time she crochets.

I really like Matthew's drawings. I also like the way he's drawn red thigh boots for you, Atyllah. Very fetching.

It's different. I like it. :-)

I like it too. I would also be quite interested to see a picture of a werechicken.

Kindly and domesticated?
Hmm.
I was thinking more 'leggy bird'....
quite a catwalk capon. Does he have a crush?
:-)

Did you see my 'Minx'? The boy's a genius!!!

Minx, at 1:22 PM
Wilf - I was also rather taken with the sexy long boots - now I'll have to buy a pair!
Susan - it's a delight, isn't it :-)
Steve - I've asked him to do a werechicken, because Granny's feeling a bit left out and that makes her more than a trifle peeved!
Cheryl - I think he was being polite ;-)
Minx - I did. He is!

Shush shush shush.
:)
Were-chicken's up. Took slightly longer than a minute. Chickens are hard to do.

Matthew! Thank you! It's a sublime portrait of Granny at the height of lunar fullness!

Matthew has done a fantastic interpretation of my quite waffly,' the boy who wanted to be Buzz' - take a look.

Captured your essence to perfection, my dear ...

Oh it's so lovely. What a most nice man.

Caroline, at 8:09 PM
Wow - that's some figure you've got there, do you work out?
And check Granny Were out, they're some teeth for a hen of her years!

Julia Buckley, at 1:45 PM
Wilf - I saw yours - brilliant stuff! Tried to leave a comment on your blog but blogger was being beastly.
Debi - why thank you! Are you having your own portrait done?
Caroline - yes I thought so too - what a very nice man.
(Matthew - stop blushing!)
Julia - indeed I do work out - I've been practicing my Chicken Kung Foo.
Oh don't worry about Granny's teeth - they're only like that at full moon! For the rest of the time she doesn't have any.
